How To Apply

Applicants or their attorneys must call Cooper Fellowship to schedule an in person pre-admission interview. Successful applicants for residence must:

  • Demonstrate a sincere desire to escape from substance abuse.
  • Have at least ten days sobriety.
  • Agree to strictly abide by the Program rules and provide a waiver of confidentiality for the Court and Probation.
  • Submit to chemical screens for drugs or alcohol at any time upon demand.
  • Provide verifiable proof of employment.
  • Be willing to work a "very long day." Residents must be up at 6:00 a.m. and attend program activities before work. Each weekday, applicant shall be released in sufficient time to reach work and must immediately return to Program at the end of the work day. Work schedule must not be so burdensome as to interfere with normal Program participation. Program activities conclude at 10 p.m.

RESTRICTIONS: The Options Program cannot accept PC 290 registrants, persons with gang affiliations, or persons with a propensity for violence.

TERM: Commitments must be at least 30 days and may be up to one year.

TIME OF PAYMENT: Program Fees are payable at least one week in advance.

FEES: As of 2001, Program Fees are $315 per week.
